Find a Lawyer is New Zealand's most comprehensive lawyer directory, designed to make legal representation accessible to everyone. The platform aggregates data from the New Zealand Law Society and enriches it with detailed profiles, practice area specialisations, and verified contact information. Users can search by location, practice area, or name and submit enquiries directly through the platform. The system processes close to a hundred enquiries per month, connecting New Zealanders with the right legal professionals for their needs.

Challenges & Learnings
The biggest challenge was building a reliable data pipeline to ingest and normalise lawyer data from multiple sources, keeping profiles accurate and up-to-date without manual intervention. Handling search at scale across thousands of profiles while keeping the site statically generated for performance required creative caching and incremental build strategies. SEO was also critical — every lawyer profile needed to be individually indexable with proper structured data.
