Most people have no idea how to find a lawyer, so they Google it and hope for the best. Find a Lawyer tries to fix that. It pulls profiles from the New Zealand Law Society database, enriches them with practice area and location data, and lets people search by what they actually need rather than by name. Close to a hundred people a month use it to get in touch with a lawyer.

Challenges & Learnings
Building a reliable pipeline to keep lawyer profiles accurate without manual work was the main problem. Lawyers move firms, change specialisations, retire. The other challenge was SEO: every profile page needs to be individually indexable and useful, while keeping the static build fast across thousands of pages.
